Cyndi Strid Artist inspired by nature

Cyndi Strid, Artist

Cyndi’s passion for the well-being of the planet, and its species, informs her work as a painter and mixed-media artist.  Now living in the Columbia River Gorge she graduated from the Oregon College of Art and Craft in Portland, Oregon.  Cyndi integrates drawing and painting,  with cast and fused glass work, collage, fabric, and print-making to express her ideas. Her work is rich with texture and color.  She addresses our relationship with the natural world and with one another weaving narratives with symbols, figures, objects and elements of our landscapes.

Also a licensed pediatric occupational therapist, Cyndi’s art classes for children are designed to inspire  creativity and self-confidence as students explore drawing, painting, printmaking, working with glass and found objects.  Her play-based art curriculum is designed to teach students skills which develop habits of creativity and innovation.  Classes are held in her studio in White Salmon and through local arts organizations.

Visitors are welcome at her art studio in White Salmon, Washington.
